They are designed to help you achieve your maximum lift capacity and the remove the need for you to walk backwards or forwards after lifting the bar or placing it back on the rack and work by automatically moving out of the way after the bar has been lifted by the user.
They can also be set to multiple heights and are very easy to add or remove during training.
